Hand-painted Silk Wraps and Scarves!

Painting fabric is a great energy release! I start with a piece of plain white silk; I get out my paints, lay the silk on my table and turn on a little music. I typically have a color scheme in mind before I paint but, the music sets the tone and influences how I paint. The colors take on the look and movement of water color paints so I never know exactly what the end result will be. It’s always a delight to see how the colors migrate together and what unique creation it will become.

The smaller scarves are perfect around your neck or worn as a belt. They’re lined with silk-gauze which is hand-painted using the “scrunch” method.

The larger wraps add a touch of elegance to any outfit and easily transition from jeans to an evening out without any effort. They’re lined with “Silkessence” which is a commercially made fabric.

Each large silk bandana is 36” X 36” square. The bandanas are unlined making them very lightweight and easy to tie and knot in creative ways.

Because no two pieces are exactly alike you’re guaranteed a custom look!

Purchasing:

Due to the unique hand-painted technique the actual piece will vary slightly from the photo. Please choose a color scheme that you like by indicating the letter below the photo in the scarf gallery. The silk can be spot cleaned and pressed with a cool iron. Do not dry clean or put in the washer or dryer.

The smaller scarves are approximately 8” X 62” and sell for $35 plus shipping and tax.

The larger wraps are approximately 26” X 77” and sell for $100 plus shipping and tax.

The large bandanas are 36” X 36” and sell for $35 plus shipping and tax.
